Hello!!!!

Post by tut » Wed Apr 06, 2011 3:17 pm

Been a bit quiet lately as Campbell pointed out. Went down with a horrific attack of Dengue fever that I picked up whilst up to my neck in muck and bullets in the Borneo jungle. Even wearing a jonny and a form of reinforced nappy, the bull leaches still managed to find their way in and plant the virus. Plus not sure that I completely recovered from the dart that my lead Iban scout manage to puncture me with from his blowpipe, when he tripped over a giant python whilst we were out on patrol.

However whilst I was in total isolation at ARI, I decided that we needed a family runabout for all the kids as three of them have two seaters. Then after this Winter I thought that now was the time to buy a four wheeler again for everybody to use so that we did not get caught out again. Young Scott posted up his father's Rover 25, so that was too good to miss at the price with 12 months MOT on it and 6 months tax.

Liked the look and abilities of the Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed 2.8TD, and for this one really a no brainer at £2K. Just looking for a combined insurance policy for all nine.

4) Audi TT 225
5) Ford Focus
6) Honda Civic 2.2 TDi(Motability car)
7) S1 Elise
8) Rover 25
9) Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed 2.8 TD N111 TUT

Looks a bit over the top, but the kids will all be earning big bucks after July, so they can take over the finances.

Oh dear, no way that I thought that would be taken seriously.

Tis true that I had bull leaches on the legs and down the orifices, but standard practice was to touch them with a lit cigarette and they pulled out. I did catch Malaria via the mosquitos, but not Dengue fever.

Should have posted that on April 1st, but not been posting 'cos the boys have been giving me stick for not sticking up for them so laid low for a while.

ps that is when you had to trust that your friends had a good aim with a cigarette.

Mad as a box of frogs.
Thought you had been quiet recently and just this morning checked and saw you had been logging on (but not posting).

By the time I saw the classified for the Rover 25 it was already sold, had it still been around I might have taken a punt on that - looks like good vfm. :thumbsup
Keep going at that rate you will have more cars than Arnold Clark

Heh - didn't pay an iota of notice of the story, but thought a hospital visit may be the reason for the radio silence.

Assuming you got the parcel I sent up okay?

I love the Beretta sticker on the spare wheel cover.

May attract some 'unwanted' attention mind but sends out quite a message!

Tut, your are nuts! Your getting nearly as bad as likes of Mass, Andy and Jim with the number of cars in your collection. I trust the little rover will prove a cheap little run about. As I told you Hollys dad spent a fair bit sorting it out for the next years running as he wasn't planning to sell. I have gathered the receipts to show you the work completed which adds up to more than the asking price but he is happy to recope some of that and hopefully your happy with your purchase.

Twill be in good hands Scott, the only car that I can insure the whole family on.

That was my first thought Sanjoy, but as it is not common rail it looks as if it can not be chipped. If anybody knows differently then please let me know.
