A cringe worthy moment &Im sure he will regret that - I noticed it was one of the timeswhen he wasn't accompanied by a press officer ( to gag him )

You could actually see him realise what he said about 10 seconds later.
Definitely a changed man since he first arrived on the scene and he was robotic in his interviews!

I can see him on a downwards slope now and he'll end up falling out with his team and moving on possibly?

look at the move that he got done for on massa - schumie did the same move on hamilton but hammie moved out of the way to let him through.
i agree with hamilton - there needs to be a change of focus towards the attacking overtaker and not the defending car.

I also noticed the absence of the usual McLaren PR hovering over his shoulder, and the clear presence of one when they interview Button later.
Paul Di Resta said at the end of the race he had to put his hands up and admit liability for his mistakes. Lewis NEVER does this, it's always someone elses fault in his eyes and he will always be frustrated then. I don't think he'll leave McLaren and will probably do another inteview where he reads out a script and goes on the PR offensive. Also Canada should suit them well and he's always a happier bunny when he's winning.

If you overtake on the inside at the hairpin at Monaco then you are in trouble.

You do not have the lock to go as tight as you want, the other car is trying to take the best line, he has nowhere to go even if he sees you, it will end in contact.

It was a joke. Watch now as the world grabs it and runs making it something its not. Like that tall dude said when Jordan tried to slate him. We want the driver to speak up about their frustrations etc. It does my nut in seeing them strangled................... "yes, it was a frustrating weekend but we will analyse the data and come back stronger for the next round".............bollox

I dont see anything wrong with his second overtake. 1st one was too far back. 2nd one was fair enough. Wasnt really any harder than the one he did on schummy, it's just the micheal saw it coming at the last jap. He's a racer. He has to go for gaps. Seems funny how Senna is praised for going for any slight gap and taking guys off but Lewis gets penalised. Personally i really like his style. If the FIA want guys who hang back and dont go for any oppertunity then we'll go back to the dark ages fo boring no pass racing. He aint half as dirty as Schumacher!!

Was more of the kind of joke he would share with his team/ button etc
I think the problem is that the BBC team are too close to them and the drivers often let their guards down because of this. This was one of those moments. Top coverage as always

That aside, I agree with above. He acts like a spoilled child and when he drives like a fanny, it's everyone else's fault

Never been a fan of Lewis, but to give him credit, he is a good driver - when he's winning. But, when he's forced into making tough decisions and gets them wrong, it's always the other guy's fault. He needs to grow up a bit.

i've not heard his excuses, but massa deliberately turned in early to block him. It was always going to be an optimistic pass, but i dont think it was entirely hamiltons fault.

Agree with some posts above.

Schumi managed to pass lewis on same place so it's always going to be a 50/50...

Agree totally! if you put things into perspective.. Under the current regulations and procedures, SShumi would not have the record he has today.. Not by a long way.. (Damon Hill scenario etc.. Spring to mind)
However, it's refreshing to have someone in F1 with "human" reactions in the otherwise sterile corporate and politically correct world that is modern day F1.
Why does everyone love Senna? Do people actually remember the Prost and Senna incidents?? I do like Senna though because he was a racer, just like Lewis ...and Alonso.

Monaco is a lottery though.. Even Olivier Panis and Jarno Truli won it..

Agree that the second pass with Massa was opportunistic but that's racing. Senna used to put his car in the same place and let you decide weather you were going to have the accident, Hamilton did exactly the same thing. Don't think Massa even knew he was there till it was to late.
As for the rest, when did Red Bull start sponsoring the safety car, they say you make your own luck in F1 but Vettel must have used up a seasons worth today.

Regardless, if you try to overtake on the Hairpin, there is a very good chance that you will end up with damage or a penalty, and your race could be over.

Well I had a chuckle at Lewis and wondered if he was glancing down at his Big Book of Racing Driver Excuses, anyway the race for me was all about bringing Monaco in from the cold of processional nonsense. What a day, great stuff. And topped off by a masterclass in pool-jumping at the Red Bull Floaterhome. Haven't laughed at F1 (well the Forum) as much ever before

And in amongst all that I managed to paint our newly remodelled lounge-diner-kitchen too. Brownie points for watching F1? Shurely shome mishtake, Moneypenny...
