Exige s buying tips

Post by Wacky Racer » Sat Aug 20, 2011 12:18 am

Hi Guys,

I've been toying with the idea of getting an S2 Exige S. Is there anything to look out for in regards to problem areas? Help/advise much appreciated. Thanks

if you see one you like...post, up on here and someone will probably know the car, or worked on it if its in Scotland and give some history on it.......in saying that, there shouldnt be anything seriously wrong with an exige s if looked after, a annual service record is important, preferably from a lotus dealer........if MMC has its stamp on it then, you should be in good hands. i personally would look at buying from a lotus dealership e.g Murrey motors company, not because i have a vested interest, but because the car will be properly maintained and you will have all the advice and info with them.
also, keep a look out on here as most of the SE lads will advertise a sale of their exige s on here first! as they want the car to stay in Scottish hands and SE community, before going to a trader or other main line car sale websites....
I hope this helps?
leigh :thumbsup

Thanks for the reply. I'm quite interested in the red exige currently for sale at MMC. It looks a nice car but has higher than average mileage for the year and looks like it's been tracked hard. Anyone know anything about it.
I would love to buy a car from the forum but I'm looking to trade out my Porsche boxster S 987 if anyone's interested?

Thanks

Richard
