lying salesmen! nlc

Post by Rusty » Fri Aug 26, 2011 9:19 am

Don't you just love how much sh*t and promises you get given in a shop.
To fill you in,
Kat and I have just bought our first flat, so we go and order dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

Told the guy that we have built in kitchen units and we'd need one of the
Cupboards removed to fit it. We got the lovely "yeah our installers can do that"

So ordered them for delivery and they turned up for the salesman to say
"no we can't do that" so I'm left with a dishwasher on the patio.

Called their customer services (well they are even worse) and they seem to say I need to do it myself.

So long story short. Got screwed over by salesman sh*t and need to get the unit out and dishwasher in.

Anyone want to do that for me?

Is it a freestanding dishwasher or integrated? Put an integrated one in and removing the cupboard was a piece of piss, the pain in the arse was getting the door to fit properly ( which is why its still not 100% )

It's going to be a stand alone that will sit in the space where the cupboard would have been.
I think there are lots of hidden screws!

Unlikely to be 'lots' of hidden screws, pisser none the less but he's a salesman what would you expect :?

Look up and at the sides, unscrew anything that looks like a fixing, whip the plinth off, raise the feet or remove the packers and if it doesn't drop free it's still screwed up, you'll be able to feel or see where its still attached.

Hammers work too but there may be collateral damage :) .

You need to write to the company to feed this back, and ensure their sales assistants don't give other people the same misleading information.

Or alternatively, go back into the shop and tell him yourself :-)

Now just enjoy the lovely new appliances and your new home!
