well, I've bounced a few ideas around in my head, and here are 2. the 1st is a simple change in font:-
And the second has a wee bit of the elise chucked in:-
very much a rough draft on the 2nd, but I'll get a better text font. the white behind elise will also disappear and the text colour will all be blue. I haven't bothered as yet as I wondered whether people will miss the fact the site is 'elises' rather than'elise' .com with the actual elise text. Just wondered whether its worth persevering or getting back to the drawing board.....

Problem with using the elise script is that you have to produce two (as the S2 bods would rightfully say that it won't match the rest of the car. The old SE1 stickers had the same issue, as they had line drawings of the cars...
Would perhaps go with a font that's a little less formal and militaristic as the serifed number you've got there.... How about whatever the heading in the forum is displayed as (Tahoma, maybe?)

Dont give up the day job Greg!
Second one is hard to read, and I dont like the army font on the first one.
Apart from that,

what can I say JJ - I'm obviously too heterosexual to be a designer
I take your points - 1st font was a failed attempt to replicate something similar to the 'LOTUS' typeface - its the thought that counts!

Dont try and use the gay chat just cos I said your logos were pish!
The original ones G had made were cool, i prefer the cut vinyl to the all in one type stickers.

You can replicate the LOTUS lettering with Times New Roman, stretched a bit (easy in 'chop)

now you've completely confused me! Cut vinyl? sheesh...
I agree that G's original ones were dop dolla' - only thing I wanted to change was the mixture of upper & lower case in the url. I'll have a fiddle and see - the original logo IMHO is spot on, so don't want to go messing with that

Agree with you - the only thing spoiling them was the text wrapped round the edge of the logo. Reminded me of a cheap home CD label...

I could kindly ask one of our 2D artists at work to knock something up - probably take them 5 minutes and their stuff is aboslutey brilliant.

How about making the sticker square like SE1?
Still have the badge on the left hand side with the url on the right with larger text. Somehow incorporate the url into the badge rather than having it hanging off the side. Some fancy swooshes so it all links together

Ross, that sounds like a great idea, if nothing else but to add more into the melting pot!
Obviously we don't want things to get too complicated with hundreds of equally competent designs like the above... So I as custodian of the sticker template shall decide on a shortlist

j/k of course.
pm me your addy and I'll send you the original.
Cheers,
Greg

How about making the text white if it's still separate? You can hardly see it on most cars cos it's so dark.

Or how about asking the design of the original SE1 stickers to have a look see - I think he posts on here now and again?

I like the first one, but agree that the font needs tweaked. Can it be curved around the bottom of the logo?
How can I get one of these stickers when the design is finalised? Is the sticker similar size to tax disk holder?
Cheers,
D
