just went to do and update to iso5 and it didnt work, and now my ipad is stuck...

Try again when the rest of the world is not trying to do the same thing. My download was fine for the iphone, but jammed up on the ipad. After doing a search, half the population had the same issues, but apparently it is because the servers are overwhelmed!!

This wouldn't have happened if Steve was still around..........

Not also that you need the latest version of iTunes and to get iCloud running on your machine you need an OSX update too.

My iPhone update took two and a half hours last night with a panic in between when I thought I'd lost everything, but patience and try again. That said, nit entirely sure what I now have...

Jailbroke my iphone and am not upgrading anything thanks very much. Free tethering is awesome.
