I would say that is quite a good price for what is an almost new condition car. But I do seem to remember it being for sale months ago ( remember commenting that it seemed to sit quite high at the front)
Can't understand the thinking of buying a car to only do that mileage - probably cost £10k to do under 5 thousand miles in 12-13 years. Madness.

Could be all sorts of reasons for that. Could have been part of a collection or an owner who found himself unable to use it for whatever reason.
With the current prices of S1’s it doesn’t look expensive to me. Assuming there is a bit of haggle in it I’d rather pay £2 or 3k extra for an almost new car than for even a well maintained 45,000 mile version. I recon you’d get it back in lower maintenance / higher re-sale anyway.

If it's got a proper service history (ie annual servicing, not per-year) and has had other bits replaced over the years, it's probably a decent deal.
If not there will be costs of getting it to a standard that you'd like. I can't decide if the tyres are shiny with product, or shiny with being solid and 14 years old though
Erica's VX had 6,500 when we bought it (plus, it's a bit younger as a 2000 car) and the tyres were like driving on ice...

Personally I don't think its done enough miles.... that little use can't be good for a car of that age.... IMHO

Out of interest, what jacking points are they using at the back in the pic on the two-poster. Didn't think it was possible with the under tray on?

I'm pretty sure I've had mine on axle stands at the back with the rear under tray still on, don't suppose it'd be much different with a jack?
Maybe they've fabricated some sort of extension to allow them to do it since they deal with so many Elise?

I reckon they're using the wishbone, right at the base next to the mount. I've seen Ali do that with a 4-point lift so I guess it's Ok if done with care.

Well it's got Konis on it and a placcy throttle body for a start
£15k is probably viable for a long-term collector. Quite a good example for such a person, with such a standard "original" spec.
But pointless for someone who wants to enjoy the car regularly. IMHO. Far more available at around half that cost.
Very nice all the same.
