Chris Evans' Evora
Chris Evans' Evora
Don't know if this has been posted already, and didn't know he had bought one.
Looks quite nice, but a bit expensive compared to some of the others out there!

Painting a 288GTO white is unforgivable. He's got a good taste in cars, but a poor taste in what he then does to them...

Re: Chris Evans' Evora
Not sure about that to be honest. I read Classic and Sports Car and Octane most months and they feature many many refurbs of top end metal and quite often the latest owner's focus is on getting it back to its original condition and very often the original colour. It's always been traditional to change the colours of exotics as the owners see fit - it's only paint. If Chris Evans wanted a white GTO, why not? If you can afford to buy a 288GTO et al, you can afford to have it changed back again to rossojasonliddell wrote:Painting a 288GTO white is unforgivable. I see your point but it removes the originality of such a relatively rare classic.offshorematt wrote:Not sure about that to be honest. Re: Chris Evans' Evora
The fact that it is a one off that has the provenance of Chris Evans name on the V5 means it isn't going to be priced as a normal Evora and will probably always command a premium.ceejam wrote:Don't know if this has been posted already, and didn't know he had bought one.

Oh and meant to say - although I don't agree with his painting his collection white, I do actually really like him in general - his radio show is proof that Moyles is an annoying scrote...
...but that picture of him in the link isn't very handsome

Re: Chris Evans' Evora
White ferraris are wrong. He re-trimmed the interior of them all in blue leather too - can you imagine a white F40 with a blue leather interior? Pass the bowl.
My humblest view on these things is that if you can afford them, well done you, but they're not "yours." You're just the next keeper and what made the car special to you (e.g. originality) must be preserved for the future. Otherwise its just a shell

Re: Chris Evans' Evora
I draw the line when a car has got to the stage when only a privileged few can afford them and there ain't that many left.
Like I say, just IMHO - perfectly content for people to hit me with the, "you buy it, you do what you want ith it," argument
