Suggestion from NorLog

I suggested that they adopt the Tut measure of speed ad stop talking pish about how fast they are really going on an open forum. As a result they are considering the adoption of the "Sooty" in honour of one of their regular loons.
One sooty is equivalent to 100tuts so a m-way cruise is at 0.85 soots which I found amusing...

please remember that the tut unit is omnisignificant if that's a word and is used for all our units
speed, price, weight, horsepower etc
and just recently has been used for liquid measurement of laphrohaig but we are still waiting on the official number of tuts to the bottle
perhaps we should have a pole?

Not a bad idea.
I suppose as 1 tut = 1mph, that is a bit obvious, but not proveable.

I woulod have thought it was 1 bottle per tut, I doubt he'll allow anything else!

I always thought a Tph (tut per hour) was a percieved speed. eg. With that new exhaust fitted it felt like the car was doing over 130 tuts.
The actual speed could be much lower.

Have a good day Lawrence, wish I was closer.
New windscreen
Two new headlights
Two new driving lights
New boot release cable.
New bonnet release cable
New battery
These are all to go on, but Craig did fit my new steering rack last week.

I've got to do the headlights on Mandy's car - god are they poor!
Anyone have a suggestion about bulb types without having to resort to re-wiring?
Cheers

I am using illegal Rally bulbs, I believe they are 120/150's. Been on over a year now and no problem with overheating or burnt out wiring.

Ta.
Th reflective coating is going on the bowls too - so I'll up the bulbs and change the bowls at the same time.
Can't help but think she might get more light output if she cleaned the lenses now and again - but you know Mandy, she's an SE'rs through and through.

When you say that you have to replace the bowls, do you mean the whole headlight? They are a bloody menace for rusting, but mine are both holed so need replacing for the MOT.
If you need new ones, I got mine from Les Twig at
http://www.gbdriver.co.uk at £35 each, quite a bit less than Geary.

And who is that can't work out why the battery keeps going flat ?

Well spotted Paul.
Not that though, seems to be steering console related, ie keys out better than keys left in, but though Craig is an electrical engineer, and has the equipment, we can not pin down the cause.
