anyone know of a decent independent garage in Glasgow??

my wife's Mazda 323 needs a big service, and mazda want to charge about £700 for the privilage of doing it! -

anyone knoe any dodgy wee men whom i could trust to do a decent job on it and not rip me off??

would be a big help! - I do all my own work on the elise, but i just havn't the time to do two cars!

I know an independant garage. Good guy, good friend of mine. Not at all a dodgy wee garage. He does a lot of the big hire car companies servicing. He will also do work that will keep your manufacturer's warantee. He runs a good decent honest garage (establised by his dad 1948) and is pretty cheap:

Remember that you are probably in the same boat as me now that the service history is less important as the car is too old. The most important thing is that it is maintained properly, so go for value for money rather than a stamp now.
I for one would be more comfortable paying £50 for a service at a garage I am comfortable with than £50 for a set of spark plugs that I don't need from a certified service agent - £50 for spark plugs WTF!!!!!

In Stephen's case, it's not an issue and in Sanjoy's, the sort of customer who would be in the price bracket will just look for stamps - official Lotus will not really matter TBH. Celica is a totally different matter, as it's much newer and attracts a totally different kind of owner.

Fair enough - even the wee-est back street garage will put a service stamp in the book.

I even know of a person who goes into a garage when it's quiet, uses their ramp and could get a stamp off them....

Yea I just get a book of first class the wee gold ones are smart in the hand book
