Site that rich pointed out wrote:One type of positive displacement blower is the screw supercharger, which uses two rotors turning at different speeds. Because of the relative movement of the rotors, the volume of air trapped between the rotors reduces along their length, compressing the air through the outlet.
Wrong both rotors turn at the same speed
if they turn at different speeds you have a large pile of scrap

I remember looking at these some time ago, try
http://www.electricsupercharger.com . They use two in series, but if you look at the dyno plot for a Civic, it only shows an increase of 3hp and 1ft lb, though they claim upto 27hp increase. At $600, a no brainer.
However it is hard to ignore all the testimonials on the site from users, as I doubt they could have fabricated all of those.

AFAIK they actually reduce airflow, as the natural suction from the throttle body is greater than the volume of air that the fan can pass through at full tilt. This being because they shift about the same volume of air per second as a PC fan!

Its amazing what you can make yourself believe if you want to... painting white stripes on your car makes it more aerodynamice and hence faster.... the black side protectors make it more agile in the corners...
Blue calipers also help you stop quicker, even better than red ones.
And after youve done radio show apperancies your co-ordination is improved making you faster on track...
