Was in at MMC picking up car tonight when they were getting a new Europa S delivered

Looks the biz in dark grey with tan leather interior. All the guys were out to give it the once over. Presume it will be under wraps until next weekend.
Anyone on here taking delivery soon

I think the Europa is a lovely looking car, but I'm a wee bit confused by who they've aimed it at. I thought it was aimed at people who would like an Elise or Exige but can't put up with the impracticalities of them.
Although they've obviously addressed this with the addition of some mod-cons, safety features and bigger boot, from the pictures I've seen, there are still sills to climb over when getting in, so it's still going to be impractical for climbing in and out of. I think that might put some potential buyers off.

It's weird, reading the tag line - 'for drivers not putters', why put a golf reference in the ad if you're
not aiming at golfers?! Or are they!!!!! MuHahaha! Reverse psychology at its worst???
But the thing is, it seems we've all hated this car before we've seen it / heard real life reviews. I have to say it looks much better in that ad than I remember from pics!
Plus I have very fond memories of seeing a racing green Europa when I was a kid, I thought it was the coolest thing an looked hard core racing!!! Ah... innocent days!

I think I would get dismembered if I turned up in another Lotus though...

No way. She will kill me...
I could probably get away with a swap, but I can't drive this one properly yet and I suspect the Old Lotus' fearsome reputation for unreliability has not aged well...

I believe# that the sills have been reduced in size, i.e. a bit cut-out of them and are about 3 inches lower than an S2, to make access easier.
