iPetrolhead App

Post by andyc » Tue Nov 13, 2012 11:30 pm

Hi Folks,
I've been working on a smart phone app and it has gone live about 5 minutes ago!
It's main function is vehicle reminders. It also has a cool photo editor which the young uns seem to like. There is a map section too for group runs and such like. There is a gear icon too with virtual merchandise which we will make real if the app sells well. We will monitor what people are clicking on for a while to gauge interest.

There is some Lotus content and it is my first ever app so be kind

It's so hot off the press it's not available in the app store search!!
If you go to http://www.ipetrolhead.com you can tap the available in App Store icon.
An Android version is planned for early next year for the non-believers!

I would recommend reading the FAQ's on the website as it explains a bit about the app....I will be doing a how to video but Apple approved it quicker than expected....I assume that to mean they like it?!

There are Facebook and Twitter links on the website and in app so please Like, Follow and Share to raise awareness of the app so it sells heaps and I can then order my Evora :thumbsup

More than anything please enjoy the app :cheers

Best thing about it is that anyone with a smart phone and a vehicle can use this app.....so long as they have £1.49 in their bank

And to finish off before I head to my bed to not be able sleep with excitement of the impending arrival of my Evora (that is a fictional statement :( )....

Andy,

Fantastic stuff, and really pleased you are using that Lotus sale money to good use!

My£0.02p and see how it goes, but you may benefit from making it free for a period of time to get the viral thing going, get it to all the car review/magazine sites for review, and then once your marketing splurge has started and you have some reviews, make it chargeable. I think your price is perfect, but you need the traction of free to get it noticed and talked about.

I did 3 months free and downloads went mental after some great reviews, but I got distracted, made it chargeable and things went quiet. Day job means it has been parked.....

What app did you have out?
I hear ya about the free thing but £1.49....bargain.....costs £1.50 for DVLA to text you about MOT only!
Now....stop being so mean and get yer money out :D

PS...spread the word to stop me having to sell it for free....my traction control turned off :thumbsup

:withstupid

Its not very often i buy a App but i did buy "Road Trip" as the free App only works for 1 car, so bought the App so that i could keep track of all 3. Maybe something to think about for your App Andy :thumbsup

Also people like to try before they buy

Anyway good luck!
