Looking at sanjoy's bmw wheels in the classifieds but getting tied in knots about offsets etc.
Looking at them for my brother-in-law's e82 120d with m sport body etc. but cannot find the info I need for whether these wheels will fit re offsets.
The wheels in question came off sanjoy's 2007 320d

Cheers

Ali

Have you tried looking on Mytyres? They usually give all that info.

They seem to be marked IS34 and IS37. Looks like too much of a difference?

Sanjoys wheels are e46 style (but obviously replicas since they are 17s).

E46 3-series and e87 1-series are the same offset(ish) so anything from an e46 will fit.

The confusing thing is that Sanjoy had an e90 which use lower offsets.
If his wheels were e46 fitment they would have fitted his car but look a bit daft as they would sit quite far in the arch. They would also fit the 1er.

If his we're the proper offset for his car, they won't fit the 1er.

All ET/OFFSET is still dependent on tyre and wheel size so bear this in mind if you are trying to fit wheels from one model to a different model, also if the car is lowered then you may have issues with rubbing/non fitment due to fouling.

The higher the ET number the more the wheel will sit inside the wheel arch

Taken from the site I used to size my 16" winter wheels to replace the 18" msport ones and no issues but the do sit well inside the arch as stevoraith says

I think Sanjoy has posted up the wrong photo.

He had a set of 17's on his 3 series estate - but it was a 6 spoke. - These had the winter tyres on them

I sold him a set of MV2's (as in the classified advert) which came off my Z4 Coupe.
He used these with the runflats as his summer tyre

If you look closey & screw your eyes up - around about the 9 /10 oclock postion - you can see the tyre size. 18
and at the 1 oclock position you can clearly see the letters "RFT"

I might be wrong......... only sanjoy can confirm.

I can confirm I have sleep deprivation and the ad was wrong.
