Small crack on front clam (about 1 -2 inches) wear to repair

Post by cpia2002 » Sun Sep 10, 2006 8:21 am

Hi there title says it all really

Small crack on front clam under the nose badge: not really visable except really up close but wondered if it may grow and get worse.

Anyone know where the best place to get it repaired in Central Scotland would be ?

I used a place just outside Kilmaurs for a similar crack on the front splitter. 60 quid I think it was. Can't see it at all.

I refer our friend to the following pic...

just drive it, worry about it later when the eather turns bad. Dont want to loose any of the good driving days we have left with a car in the bodyshop :D
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Cant use T - cut as its a small crack running from the edge , not a scratch

Sorry, that is for N1TUT, cracks in the clam need proper repairs. The cracks can spread when water penetrates the paint. Get it fixed before the weather turns!

God no, not unless it's huge damage. TBH if I were you then I'd save my cash. The paint may suffer a little but not much, it'll soon blend into the background when the gritters get going in winter...!

No convenient for you location wise but try Steve Walker Body Shop in Bathgate. He has done a number of Elise's from here and has always done an excellent job.
