Evora 2+2 (lack of) rear space

Happened to be in Edinburgh today, so thought it rude not to swing by MMC and have a nose

My first time there since they moved lotus to the building at the back, some nice stock

Had a wee seat in the 2+2 Evora in the showroom and was shocked at the pointlessness of the rear seats when drivers seat was set for me. Can the front pax seat be moved far enough forward to allow one rear seat to be used? Looks doubtful...

To me, a nice elise looks a better bet

Oh and Brandon, I was the guy in the grey hoodie mooching around at 1pm-ish who refused your kind offer offer of assistance, but didnt have lots of time to stand and blether

No more useless than a 911, IIRC and it doesn't hurt the sales of them...

You've described the problem with pretty much every 2+2 known to man there - should really read 2+2(babies or midgets)

They're basically occasional jump seats or a luggage shelf aren't they? I always see them being there for people who think a 2 seater might not be practical enough......but they actually rarely use the +2 bit.

I seem to remember a definition of a 2+2 (probably the Ferrari 308 2+2) as -

2 adults and 2 legless dwarves.

Agree, the kids really did fit in the 911, The Evora I have to slide seat so far forward it's uncomfortable.

Handy this week when my runaround is of the road though.

I can get in the back of a 911...

Likewise, I can position the 911 drivers seat to a useable postion and manage to squeeze behind that seat.

I now know for a fact it's impossible to do the same in an Evora, as indicated in my original post.

Perhaps Mr Shug should be a touch less eager to jump to Lotus' defence without some prior rational thought

I've had three drunken nurses in my Evora!

It was a squeeze, but it was only a short journey. Not something that could be done in an Elise..

I mainly use the rear seats for luggage space, but its nice to know they are there if really needed

Of course yes Keith, fully understandable, but not to the point where facts cannot be ignored...

Next there'll be comments that they are just as good for long distance cruising as an S-class Merc or as capable off road as a Defender

If the drivers under 6 ft can you squeeze 2 in the back and still drive reasonably safely?
