On my way!
On my way!
Afternoon all,
I am finally moving out! After 2 years in bonny Scotland and just over a year of Elise ownership I'm leaving for Preston and a new life as a burden to society. Then I'll get a job and a new career at BAe Systems with a bit of luck.
Moving in with the girlfriend of nearly 7 years for the first time and into her house in Preston, I suspect it may be "interesting" to begin with, but if she has put up with me for this long we should be OK in the long run (If anone says marriage I'll sign them up for the Welsh Tourist board mailing list!)
Now a member of Norlog, seems a bit quiet but hopefully just as active, they have regular meets and stuff!
The time I have spent north of the border has been excellent, massively improved by the purchase of my P&J and meeting most of you lot! It's just a pity I haven't managed to get out on some of the more adventurous runs (Campaganza looked fantastic!) and consistantly failed to get on track apart from my training course.
This is one of the most welcoming and easy going groups I have come across with a sense of camararderie and support second to none. From emergency repairs to hair brained projects, I have always been supported and encouraged (Against all common sense in most cases!) at every turn. My car is now quite a beast and is clearly more capable then me, what I need now if a few years of practice... The best thing I have found about the group is that alot of us have met and this has nurtured an atmosphere of trust; enabling bigger and better things to be organised, for example the mammoth Tut and Mexi Towers events (Which I managed to miss again!) and my own, more modest, C&D runs, none of which would be possible without garuanteed attendance.
In short, keep up the good work, I hope my contributions have had some useful info amonst the pish and long live SE!
All the best,
Rich
PS I'll still loiter and I promise to come visit on occasions! Scottish raods are too good to keep away from!

That's beautiful man.... just beautiful....
All the best old bean - you'll always have a spare kip up my way, should you be on a jaunt. I daresay we'll see you sooner or later.
Take care, be happy and keep it between the hedges

Cheers gents! Doubtless the postings will be curtailed by her insisting on attention (That's the g/f not the liz!) now I'm living at her gaff (paying for half of it though!)
I doubt I'll get the chance to challenge Shug's lead on the top ten posters! I am second though!
What alot of pish!
I'll be back, don't worry about that, also if anyone is planning a jaunt down here drop me a line, I'm sure a spare room and even a (lumpy) bed could be found. Oulton park is ~50 miles south
I'll keep you all up to date with the latest batty plans too, all I need is a new project....

I used to live in southport till I moved here , got out cos I was fed up with the crime and speed cams and speed bumps and traffic jams , and parking meters and hostile coppers and wind and rain and supermakets and boot sales
