Just spotted my first F type, wow it's a stunner, much better in the flesh than all the pictures I've seen, it's even given me second thoughts about what I'm picking up latter on today,

I passed one yesterday on the A69, I thought it looked nice but no 'wow' factor.
It was a dark metallic grey, might've just been the colour.

Edited - must learn to spell!

Yep - very colour sensitive IMO. There's a dealer near us and a white one on the forecourt looks delicious, but the more muted tones tend to hide the silhouette (especially at the rear, where it's most successful)

I saw one down in warwick when they were doing the shakedown tests on the motorway, had the black and white checks on it at the time.
I thought it was a fat mx5, not a fan ....

:thumbsup I am liking that!

I remember estates being the thing that old men and farmers drove, with plumes of pipe smoke emerging when the door opens. Am I getting old?

My parents always had cortina estaes as it allowed us kids to play on the flat surface in the boot or go for a sleep :D

The estate version more often than not looks better than the saloon imho, take RS4/RS6 (or any A4 for that matter), 3 series BMW, new Focus ST, Volvo V50 etc :thumbsup

It is probably the Volvo T5 that made estates acceptable
