Alloy Wheel Courier and eBay Advice

Long story but I've bought a set of alloy wheels off eBay which didn't match the sellers description so I'm be looking for a refund and will be sending them back.

I'm yet to confirm who is responsible for the return courier costs but can anyone recommend a cost effective courier, preferably one that collects too.

On the same topic, how does the refund process work, i.e. do I wait for the refund before I send the wheels back?

Thanks in advance.

I used Paisley Freight to ship a bike, they also do alloy wheels & other odd sized items. They are a broker and tend to use TNT, etc.

On eBay search for 'Paisley Freight Alloy Wheel', the cost depends upon the size of wheel, you need to pack them yourself mind.

If the eBay seller doesn't respond to your emails and issue a refund you'll need to open a dispute to get your money back. It should be the sellers responsibility to pay the freight costs if they were not as described.

As said, Paisley freight seem to be the preferred method for wheels- they list costs for different sizes of wheels and for tyres alone etc on their website which gives some confidence that they know what they are doing.
I've never used them but I have got prices from them before and they always seem to be cheap.

Cheers for the replies, I'll look in to Paisley Freight if the need arises.

I should have mentioned I have raised a dispute with eBay. I'm confident I'll get my money back but t isn't clear who pays the return costs.

I used Paisley Freight to get a set of Victories + Tyres up to Aberdeen, it all went smoothly.

I'd have thought it's the sellers responsibility since they mis-sold the item..
eBay usually sides with the buyer, so I reckon via the dispute, you'll get a refund anyway, if that's the case, you can always wait for a refund of the postage cost before returning, don't really see why you should be out of pocket because of something out of your control..
Assuming you're not willing to come to some sort of other agreement (for example, partial refund for refurb or something..)
