Damper

Just got my 111s back on the road after many many months of ECU pain and expense. (Thanks Robin and Craig for help).
Anyway, that's the good news. The bad news is the front left damper bled to death on the drive home. Have ordered a set of Bilstein dampers and springs for the front corners but apparently they've been on back order for 6 months at the factory and could be months before they're available! Anyone know what's going on there?
Just on the off-chance - I don't suppose anyone has an old/used/spare/temp damper I could stick on to keep me on the move?
One step forward...two steps back...

I have a spare set of the VX, which are the same I think, welcome to borrow.
I am away on holiday on Sunday, so would need to be tomorrow, I am in west Lothian, so not to far.

Hi,
I should have one used, non-leaking, front spare (damper c/w spring fitted), it you want to borrow it.
I've heard about Bilsteins being out of stock for ages which seems pretty sh*t for folk who need replacements. Can't quite interpret Woody's post, but seems there is an option to refurb?

This is the best forum - I'm welling up.
Stu - if you PM me your details I can pick up tomorrow if that's ok? Sooner I can get moving the better.
Cheers,
Colin

Not sure what Woody is saying, but I had mine refurbed by Bilstein a couple of weeks ago. 1000 miles later and all is good.

If you have any problems, I've got a set of used ones over in Dalgety Bay. My plan is to get them refurbished at Bilstein and swap over during the winter. PM me for my address.
Dom, have you got contact details for Bilstein refurbishment service?
