I think that might have been at MMC when I dropped off the evora, might be worth asking craig about it.

I viewed this car a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't too impressed to be honest but then it is one of the cheapest S1s out there so is probably still ok value for money.
I've never been in an S1 before but it felt very very fragile and as though it was going to fall apart. The driver's window wouldn't move up and down. The steering was off centre quite a bit needing a geo setup. The paintwork wasn't anything like as nice as you would expect having had a respray a few thousand miles ago. The gearbox felt really bad. Oh and the suspension was setup far far far too low.
But then it is cheap so...
I asked the seller and he didn't seem aware of Scottish Elises.

The PH one is a lovely looking car.
The twin of the original N1, except that mine was a B&C 140.

I thought it looked a bit low in the pics, esp the rear suspension.
Not aware of SE? Eh?

Yeah it was just about sitting on the ground. I thought the rear wheel looked a bit odd in the arches but I think it's just because it is so low. The exhaust was squint too. And it had nankang tyres.
It was also listed on ebay the day after it was listed on pistonheads - perhaps it is now sold?

Oh - just remembered something else. The advert says he has had it from new but the HPI check I carried out said it had 4 previous owners. It was also showing as having been exported. I asked about this and the seller said he lived in Ireland for a period but was surprised to hear it was showing as having 4 previous owners. Also on checking the tax status of the car on the government website it showed as untaxed?
If anyone wants to see a copy of the HPI check let me know and I can send it to you and save you a few £.

Interesting to hear the detailed appraisal by the gentleman who has "never been in a S1 before".
Very cheap Elise, having sold for £6.1k. Decent paint and some minor fettling should yield a pretty decent wee car.

Yeah I think so. Most of the issues could be sorted in half a day by someone with a basic tool kit. A proper respray later and you would have a very nice little elise.
