Been there as a teenager.
"Ok, so now you've seen how to change the brake shoes"
- Thanks Dad....can I take it off the jacks and out for a test, then?
"No: we've not finished yet, and there's no number plates on. Leave it while I pop out for an hour"
(Half an hour later)
Brrring! "Hello?"
- Er....Dad? There's been an accident....
Who'd be a parent?

Amazing that they all came off. Maybe this is what
J2Lot needs to do!?
Don't know the cause here, but it can happen when people fit big wheels and the original bolts/nuts are a bit short and only get a couple of turns on the thread. Fortunately when I witnessed the same thing a friend only lost a single wheel, but it was on a motorway!

Kept that one quiet! And here was me thinking my 'woobly wheel' at KH a few months ago was bad. At least I kepy all wheels attached......remember torque wrench settings for wheel nuts are always 'welsh' or 'TAF'.

A very fair point. I had two wheel studs go 'dink' on a rear wheel on the dukes pass once, traced purely to overtightening through their life... That focused the mind when I pulled up in the carpark...
