Unusual Car Desires

Just wondering what car's the Scottish Elise masses would love to own given the garage space and the money?

On my list I have always had a hankering after:
Renault Alpine A610
Mitsubishi Starion Turbo
Maserati Ghilbi (which I have just found an example on Pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... d/1621123#)

Maybe I have an unusual desire for big arches!!!

Jings!!

I remember going to the Scottish Motor Show in the Kelvin Hall when I was a poor first yr student on a Grant and I remember seeing one of those on the stand and being wowed by it and wondered how anyone could afford a car like that and whether I could ever have one. (Lotus had a white Turbo Esprit on their stand and Lamborghini had a red Countach on theirs, but both were so far off the achievable scale that I didn't really think much about them) Not a car you see on the road much.

On the wide arch theme.. I would like a Renault 5 Turbo 2 (in white please) :)

Think I got my Maserati's wrong as it could be the Shamal that I was always interested in. There has to be something cool about having a spoiler just below the front window !!!

I also forgot to include the Venturi Altantique in my list as well (http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C380716)

Do you want a little bit of a restoration project as there is one on Pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... 88/1662594

Spend £4k on a decent paint job and you have a car that's then worth £2.5k :(

I remember the ex tvr salesman who had a garage in Dalkeith (his name escapes me) had one those venturis for sale years ago. Went to have a look, loved its rareness and exclusivity but didnt know enough about them. He had it for ages and i think it was around 25k. Lhd too.

I had one of them. Sometime after the picture got the alloys polished with black inserts and proper RS badges, looked much better.

My old man has one, he loves it! It's a tremendous amount of car for the money although he's just had a couple of big bills.

I really like the Avantime

Yellow TVR 390SE. Dad got us onto the TVR stand at the NEC one year. In 3rd or 5th you can't work the stereo buttons. I like that/
