If so what colour coolant did they use? It seems they have used the blue stuff on my car rather than the oem pink stuff

Mine has been blue since April, I haven't lost any sleep over it. It seems to be working fine...

Pink is sooo last week.

When you drop the car off, they usually ask what colour you want.

The first time I heard this, I was a bit puzzled so they showed me a chart and some upholstry swatches to compare.

I initially chose a fuchsia. I've since moved over to a lovely deep puce which I'm delighted with.

Guess I'll have to phone them to see what type they have used. I thought all the blue coolant was the MEG type but why would they change to that from the recommended OAT type that the car has always run on?

I don't think the colour is a hard guide to coolant type.

But you should definitely ask - if OAT is what should be used, OAT is what you want.

Deffo not - I'm sure I've bought OAT from Halfrauds before and it's been blue. Next time, same type, different brand and it was orange. Have an ask though, to be sure.
