my brother and I are looking to go half's and get my mother a new car for her 70th next month as her old Honda is getting on.

I found this car, its got hi miles but as my mum only does 4k miles a year, I thought it would do the job.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p

We started looking at leasing her a car instead. looking at a 4 year deal. nothing to big Fiesta, Audi A1 etc

Anyone got any good contacts?

cheers

I've recently leased a new car from Target http://www.targetcarleasing.co.uk/

They were very easy to deal with, good communication and prices as good as I could find. No hidden charges either.

I thought this was quite a good deal http://www.targetcarleasing.co.uk/#/cit ... 4574813019

Scotty - if you know what you want (or which brand) worth going to see the dealer in some instances. I was on the mailing list for BMW and they came out with an insane deal for the 640d which is far far better than I've seen anywhere else. They still send me details of their deals, so if you are in no rush maybe worth a punt?

Decided to lease a cheap runaround last year.
Picked a 107/C1/Aygo - ended up going with the Aygo as Toyota finance was cheapest.
Wasn't going anywhere near Arnold Clark so went to Alexander Wallace Toyota in Elgin.
Nice bunch of people to deal with (still locally owned AFAIK),car took about 5-6 weeks to arrive.
Dirt cheap insurance, zero road tax and about 50 mpg in town.

So to pseudo thread hijack my target is £~100 inc pcm lease (personal although could potentially do a biz lease) for my Mum. Currently in an Ibiza so something similar. 4 doors would be advantageous for baby seats etc. She does <5k pa.

The C1 deal does look attractive.

Lings not appear to do sub 5k miles pa.

As per bigD's post, Caledonian leasing worth a shout. They have looked after a few of my clients.

went round a few dealers on Saturday.

liked the yaris 1.3 Auto but they cant give a delivery date as they are about to do a facelift model. Sales guy was gutted

Then went to Vauxhall and liked the Corsa, they were doing a deal for Saturday only £1250 off the £18k list price plus 0%.

Found the same car at the Vauxhall dealer in Morpeth ex mobility car 4 months old with 181 miles on the clock. £11K and a good 3 year finance deal to go with it.

off to find a big bow :thumbsup
