I don't know what that was..... (plane content)

But it just came out of Edinburgh Airport travelling very low and very, very, very fast!

We've lived just off the flight path for the last 6 years and I work from home most days; never heard anything like it expect at an air show! :)

Heard it too as I work at Newbridge - becoming more common now - not sure if it's a regular drill that's being carried out?

Great noise though!

I guessed it might be, recently I see one on approach or taking off every week or so.

However the one today was super fast, you normally hear them for a few seconds before or after you see them but not this one! It was gone! :)

I think flight radar uses mode s - I don't know if the military carry it.

we see typhoons quite a lot coming out of lossie. we're @ 15 miles away but seem to be on part of the training route. a couple months back we had a couple of apache gunships fly low and slow right over our roof. seriously impressive

EDI is a reserve landing point if RAF Leuchars is not available. May be a practice drill
