Bye Bye SC

Post by mrbennybennett » Mon Dec 09, 2013 11:19 am

Well after about 5 and a half years I decided I fancied an change so on Saturday the Elise took its last journey with me at the helm

Absolutely loved this car and am really sad to see it go - it performed faultlessly through 2 Frolics, I Donkey Punch, Tut Towers, 2 Walshy days, Oulton and Anglesay trip as well as numerous times round KH. This car never missed a beat and only costs were services and consumables.

Im sure the new owner, whoever buys it, will be getting a great wee car

Anyway with the 50/50 Lotus finance deal e-mail hitting my inbox a few months ago from MMC it made purchasing a new Exige and little more easy (just need to find the other 50% in the next 2 years  ) and I picked this little number up on Saturday 8)

Thanks to Craig and Brandon at MMC for their usual great service

Need to run her in but initial thoughts are f*ck this thing is bloody quick and likes the fuel :D

Is that an Exige V6, or is that the only version that is now available?

Well done Benny, Love the colour and really glad you bought it before my next visit to MMC.

As for the fuel, I binned my Road Trip App before I got to Spa on the Frolic, decided fuel consumption was no longer a priority. Fun factor way exceeds the fuel concern. (Although I think Neil recorded 7mpg on track @ Spa)

Looking forward to seeing it on Spazz

Cheers

Yes, I was getting an amazing 7mpg at Spa - used to get 9mpg there in the RGB so it's not that much worse. I'm not too bothered about fuel economy, it's just useful to know how long the tanks going to last so you don't run out mid lap like I almost did at Le Mans.
