Seem to be some big names missing though, ie Admiral.

Pleased that we have just swapped out from AA policies given their low score - what amazes me is the huge price difference across different companies when you get quotes - one of our quotes ranged from £161 to £899 and the highest had no Legal cover and a higher excess than many of those below it.

I'm not surprised at the AA's low score. They've been terrible to deal with, so we've also changed to another company.

Blackbird Jim will be pleased Tut
He is a Board Director of NFU Mutual!
I have been harassing him to produce a competitive Multi Car Policy for households with more cars than drivers.
Insurance companies just don't get the premise that you can only drive one car at a time

Just had my renewal in from Aviva who we moved to last year from Admiral. We have a multi-car policy with 3 cars insured. I have been a member of the IAM for 20 years now but never really benefited from any of their offers but they called me ref my car renewal. They guarantee to beat any written quote you have so I tried them with my Aviva renewal and they came up trumps. Their excess was also lower and they have more fringe benefits including European Cover and Courtesy Car included which I had to pay extra for with Aviva. In short our S-Max, S3 Sportback and A4 (Business Use) came in at £634 pa all in for me and the wife, quite a result I think

Aviva has been the best quote for me so far. Thats declaring sports exhaust and induction filter. Only ever had 1 dealing with an insurance company and they were fine (elephant).

Last year I had to go with seperate insurance companies to get the best deal, as it was cheaper than using any multicar policy. Back to a multicar this year with directline.(it halved the quote from aviva, which had been by far the cheapest up til then)

Good call on Directline as they don't appear on comparison sites so can often be overlooked.
