(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

It's the same every year. We all get terribly excited about the return of Top Gear. Only to waste more column inches on here moaning about how thin an episode was, how short the run of the series was, yada yada...
Set your expectations low ... and then enjoy
I am certainly ready for a new "series" after the splendid TG Live show last weekend.

I hope that's this does not apply for your company inspiration and goal setting presentations Campbell.
Maybe I should not set goals and just aim low. I could always look back and say I performed well every time. Surely then, I would be more positive knowing that I would always achieve and exceed my goals/targets.
Steve.

Thinking of not watching it so I get a pleasant surprise when one I haven't seen before comes on Dave.

Just look at the Sky description for the first program. James May is looking to see if the hot hatches of their boyhood were better than today hatches. Sounds very similar theme to a program a few year back where they did the same thing.

Watched it on iplayer tonight. Usual stuff, but brought back memories as I owned all 3 of the old skool hot hatches they bought during my yoof. Especially as my Nova SR was red as well and my XR2i was silver and a K reg too. The faffing about with unreliable after-market alarms was accurate in my experience! Expected a Pug 205 GTi to be in the line up but suspect they were out with the sub £1k budget.

Did we date once in the 90s? (My chat up lines left a lot to be desired, but were factually accurate.)

Last night's TG was shockingly bad.
For the first time I couldn't even watch it to the end.
Was it just me? It was terrible!
