Chaps,
I’m considering purchasing a gopro camera for a few Euro trips I have planned with the Exige – anyone using one here and how well do they fit on an Exige?
Any feedback appreciated.

I have the 3 silver and would say that the extra money for the black is worth it for the remote alone.
Also if you have older video editing software you might find the mp4 format is not supported.

Is it possible to use an iPhone as the remote rather than paying for the gopro remote?

I have an unused Go Pro hero 2 for sale with LCD backpack, and a selection of outdoor cases if anyone interested. Still in original packing!
If I get my act together tomorrow I will think of a price and stick it up on the classifieds!

FYI, The hero 3 is thinner than the 1 and 2. The new hero 3+ is smaller overall than any of it's predecessors, not that any of them were particularly big. Not that it matters either but the Black editions are the only ones that record in 4k but the 720/960/1080p frame rates are the same between the silver and black edition hero3+

Seems the company in that Groupon deal (Photo-Direct) might be best avoided...

By far the cheapest way to get one is if you know someone who is in the USA that can get you one. Dollars for pounds, as usual.

Hey - we've the new HP range of action cameras. Way better specced and priced.
In Montreal at the moment with work, just closing another deal on them actually, and the top of the range version with the BOnd stylee viewfinder watch is getting mega reviews.
It aslo will come with about 8 diff mounts and a go pro mount adaptor should you want to use one or someone elses.
Will send over some info on my return if you want.
I have a Go Pro 3 black, but the battery life is sh*t,and its not worth £359.

Certainly best best bought in the USA .. We seem to be back to pounds for dollars again. I bought a silver last year and remote it using my phone, in some cases some distance from the camera .. Black has a glass lens but really the quality of the silver is way beyond what most people will ever need ..
