Clarkson on Hammond

Jeremy Clarkson's weekly column in The Sun was all about the aftermath of the Hammond jet car crash. A great piece of writing that is both totally irreverent yet showing respect for the colleague lying in the hoapital bed.

5th Gear is in no way a rival to top gear. Watched the new episode last night and it was mince.

Yeah - been thinking about this. Hopefully what'll happen is it'll maybe reign in the silly excesses of the show and drag it back to the format with which it started this studio-based thing. In recent seasons, it's gone further and further towards a lads mag with the occasional car in it. Mostly, it works, but they have gone too daft on occasion and risked spoiling the show....

Yeah - been thinking about this. Hopefully what'll happen is it'll maybe reign in the silly excesses of the show and drag it back to the format with which it started this studio-based thing.
