Knockhill. Not as small as I previously imagined

Ahead of Spaz I've been getting track layout stickers sorted, not everyones cup of tea I know but something I like. Its generally difficult to get stickers that look related across the vast array of tracks out there so I set out to use google maps and track update pictures (as google maps is very out of date at some tracks) and get a set of track layouts at the same scale.

I've been to Knockhill countless times over the years and had always thought it very small by comparison to the rest of the UK, and europe. While the picture below shows it's still small, it's not as completely diminutive as maybe I expected when sitting along side other tracks. Anyway, I've done these ones so far....

Key: The used Johnny that is Hethel in the middle, then clockwise, Spa,Cadwell Park, Zolder, Snetterton, Oulton Park and then Knockhill, but you knew the last one... :)

:blackeye :cheers

Just done the same, put all them on the front bonnet and see similar although not guaranteeing they are to scale.

I just need to get a donkey punch sticker for the back end and Im happy.

Looks like there is the Top Gear Test Track but no Knockhill..

For some reason, I thought Mount Panorama / Bathurst was bigger than that (bottom right)..

At the risk of being a boring old anorak, or teaching granny to suck eggs...

Avus was a pre-war track that was there to prove the quality of German Autobahns (it was a stretch of closed public road) and the reliability of German cars. It was from a time when Grands Prix were tests of endurance as much as they were about handling or skill. It was ideal as a track that favoured the massive horsepower of the Auto Unions and Mercedes, when the likes of Alfa didn't have an answer. At one stage, at the height of Nazi-ism, they created a brick banked section at one end that had no guardrail. It was almost vertical at the top and must have been a scary old place to try and keep the foot in...
