N3 TUT RIP....Tut Towers RIP....

Post by tut » Tue May 13, 2014 9:37 pm

Nothing lasts for ever.

The Insurance assessor has written off N3 even though it is just a CAT D for bodywork. Got him up to £16.5K for the pay out, so it will be going to Co-Parts for auction. N3 TUT transferred to its successor, so hopefully if we are still both going strong in seven years time, it will prove a worthy replacement.

Clare's wedding is in two weeks at TT, so it will be going up for sale after that. Been a great home for twenty years with many happy memories including lots of Tut Towers weekends, and many friends made along the way. However with the siblings having flown the nest, the two of us are rattling around in here, so have to keep my promise.

We are planning to stay local, have our eye on a lovely place in Turriff with its own bridge onto the 5th green on the golf course. Essentials are on its own with some land around it for the dogs, and at least a double garage. Gas CH and good insulation would be a bonus.

Hopefully as long as I am still going strong nothing will change as regards S_E, road runs, and Trackdays, but no idea how the sale will go as there is really nothing to compare it to in the area.

Shame it has to go, I remember helping Verion and you move some of your things into the "Towers" when you moved there from Rayne North way back then. Times and circumstances change, but the great memories will last for ever.

Turriff will just be the next chapter in a very eventful life.

All the best

Graham

Good luck with the sale and the new house purchase Tut.

Any good pictures from the Tut Towers events? Post them up, there must be some crackers going about.

Bridge to 5th tee appeals. Go for it.

Very best to you all on Clare and Jamie's wedding.

All the best with the sale Tut, might see you around Turriff as best mate lives up that way. I'll tell him to keep an eye out (won't be hard to describe what to look for!) :thumbsup

Strong vault no longer! I managed to get my old PC fired up for the first time in years a few days ago. There's a few TT photos on there.

Sorry to hear about the house and the car Tut, but it will make a great wedding location (keep it and do weddings there?). Hope it all goes to plan.

Really sorry to hear about the car, N3 getting ragged by yourself round Knockhill was a sight to behold :thumbsup

On the up side, i think you could say you got the best out of N3 and used it the it until it was spent
As for your Tut Towers, i only had the pleasure of visiting twice, and it is a house that i will never forget, so to have enjoyed it for 20 years must have been fantastic. I am sure it will just be a new adventure :thumbsup

I hope the sale goes well and as the other half is from Turriff I will be popping in to visit if you move there as we are up regularly. [WHITE SMILING FACE]

Looking forward to sending TT off in style then mate in a couple of weeks. Should be an epic way to do it.

Sounds like £16.5 for N3 was a great payout given what I seem to recall you paying for it, the 250k miles you've done in it, and looking forward to seeing its replacement in action soon.

We are in for a great June it would seem with Spazz coming along also :thumbsup
