I would think the shade of the colour wouldn't be the same in this case and instead you are better off looking for a 2 stage colour that you like.

When I got the Europa resprayed Protek showed me the same 3 stage at various shades just by changing the number of coats in each one, the more coats added the more the pearlescent shade showed up.

cla5h wrote:Is it your old Europa that's been up for sale again at MMC recently? I saw one when I was there and the paint looked to me like a very solid orange, rather than any shimmery/pearl effect (admittedly only a quick look over it.)

I've searched for a few bright green/orange paints from other manufacturers (Ford, Lambo, even Renault's Liquid Yellow) but they all seem to be three stage. Is there anyone out there doing these sort of colours in a two stage?
Yes it was Europa, I think it's sold now but pearlescents don't show up well when indoors, they need sunlight to shimmer have a look at these pics all different lighting conditions shows what a pearlescent does. :thumbsup

How much extra is it to do it with the pearl effect?
IMHO, if that is what you really want then everything else will always be 2nd best.
