Scotty,
I sold a white one of these in January this year. 'Ideal' spec is manual, bucket seats, sports exhaust and Spyder lightweight wheels. Air con is nice but the purist/geek squad say it's added weight.
Happy to answer any questions you have.

Scotty,
I own one so if you want to know anything then happy to chat.
Truly epic cars and pretty rare in red.
Looks the perfect minimal spec with Spyder wheels, buckers and PSE.
Maybe worth a quick look on Pistonheads to see if it has any "previous" as their was a Spyder owner thread.
Also they are proving pretty bullet proof with depreciation

if anything the price is going up.
Its not the best timing for me right now, but i do like them. As Mr G said its 95% of a GT3 and you can take the roof off.

Yep, noticed that and certainly not complaining. Never had depreciation free motoring in any of my cars.
It is a bit seasonal but come winter they drop slightly but not too much.
However, I would not sell as can't think of any car in that price ball park would give as much open top fun/performance/handling with reasonable running costs and zero depreciation.
With 240 UK cars built they have future classic written all over them. They may take a price hit if Porsche launch another Spyder but not a fan of the new electric steering so they will still remain a purists choice.

Mid life crisis, Scotty?!
Don't you have an S1 to fix up first?
Anyway. Buy it. Immediately

. That's lovely.

Bit of a bump...
but I have always had a soft spot for these so popped into the Porsche centre in Aberdeen to see the one in there. Unfortunately it wasn't a manual one, but otherwise the spec seemed good to me... I like the white and black... but crikey the prices have firmed up a bit over the last 12 months!!
As an aside, they had 2 of the new GT4's around the back which the salesman let me have a nosey at 'cause obviously turning up in a Fiat 500 Pop showed I ment business

Anyhow one was black and the other was a dark grey and I don't think either colour did much for the car.

Renmure,
I think I know some of the history on the Aberdeen OPC one but give me a shout if you want any info (there is some essential spec to have on the Spyder which affects resale) on the Spyder as had mine for a couple of years.
Prices have increased since I got mine and I reckon they will increase again once the current stock has sold and the majority of 987 Spyder owners move into their 981 Spyder (that's why so many are on the market).
Cheers
George

I had a look at it - believe it has wheels from a porsche turbo?
