Bus has gone, looking for an estate car.

With the bus going to its new owner today, I'm looking for a car to replace it with.

This is the ideal looking car but I'm not paying that for it.

There is a paddle one, but the guy is asking strong money for it and will give me £250 off for a cash deal. Whoop

I really could do with a 5 series as I have 2 bigish dogs but I think the 3 looks so much better, I've also been put off a smoker (335D) by a BMW mechanic friend.

I don't want a Audi, Volvo have gone very boring. C63 and M5 aren't getting me excited enough to warrant the MPG.

I've also been thinking about just buying a winter shed, but I'm getting old and just want a bit of comfort.

I know SE will come up with a few options so let's see what you come up with. Budget is about £15k but I could go to £25 for the right car.

Cheers scotty

Scotty, I'm looking to change our Discovery very soon as the dog's struggling to jum in and out.

Might seem surprising but I'm thinking about a Mondeo like this.

Well done with the bus. We were just discussing it this afternoon.

Skoda Octavia estate. VRs. 200bhp petrol in your case. You know it makes sense.

I know you dont want an Audi but RS4/S4/S6/RS6?

Cayenne Turbo?

The s6 could be a good sensible choice... Plenty of space for the dogs and the lambo v10 sounds good too.

not sure what bus you had,.
i have gone totally the other way, 3 boys, two are teenagers, dogs and bikes. the 5 tourings and A6 avants just weren't big enough!
Had Audi 100- A6 estates for years, a big fan of how utilitarian they are, i prefer the S's to the RS's. But recently drove a pals wound V10tt RS6, actually quite plain, or rather every other A6 looks like it, but it does go like the clappers and with warranty is under £25k... the non turbo variants are cheaper, not driven one to know how they are. A4 is a lot smaller than the A6 but we found two variants of the 3 series tourings to be not that much smaller than the 5 series. Missus and dogs loved the 5 series. M5? or a 540?

A bit leftfield, Skoda Yeti?

although i don't disagree with EK, ford have managed to make a better estate than vovlo...

CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake?
Might not be big enough in the back for the dogs though.
Lovely thing, and goes like sh1t off a shovel :-)

Would struggle to see post the 335i tbh, but actually quite like the new Octavia vrs... Should have more space in the boot too.

/very bored in an airport.
