Scottish Elises

I've been playing about with go-pro on the M3 and the sound is crap. I've bought a lapel mic which I want to dangle out the boot with the camera on the screen but I fear the wind noise will be horrific.

A couple of lads at the Nordschleife were doing the same but had a hairy muff round their mic (bit like Troll dolls hair) which would solve the problem but I cant find one the right size (all too big)

Obviously one can be made but surely some of you on here have a solution to this or know where I can get one?

It takes years of trial and error to find the perfect size of muff but the optimum muff for you is out there, good luck in your search, and enjoy, the fun bit is finding the right one!! From the sounds of things you need a small one with a tight fit and lots of fluff for masking the unwated sounds

My biggest fear is finding out the muff is too big and being disappointed. I hate that 'loose feeling'.
If the wind gets in and out between the sides it will indeed make an undesireable noise.

Hairy muffs just aren't the in thing. You might be able to get a landing strip or a tightly trimmed one. But I haven't seen the full au natural since I found some ripped up magazines in a hedge in 1987.

So for the best quality I should really have the tip naked rather than surrounded by muff? I thought if there was no muff there might be a scratchy, bristley sound due to the motion?

Looks like I'll just have to buy the smallest and just tie wrap the mic inside it.

Thought there must be a nice tidy solution. Like those ones you see guys on the telly with on their shirt mics.
