Airbus 320

The Press briefing on live at present makes it almost certain that the co-pilot carried out a suicide crash.

He was still breathing on impact and never spoke at all after the Captain left the cockpit. It is also the best explanation for the MAH disappearance. Interested now to see the ethnicity of the pilot.

Why take out the whole plane just because he wants to lose his own life?

Upsetting.

Steve.

Hence what was his ethnicity..........

The Sultan of Oman did not allow any Omani pilots to fly him, had to be a British Officer.

Lots of talk now of how to prevent it happening again, third pilot so that there are always two in the cockpit, Air Marshall on every flight, toilet in the cockpit, all unworkable.

All they need do is have one of the cabin crew go in when a pilot comes out, problem solved.

Cabin crew won't be able to stop a pilot crashing the plane on purpose though. A mash of inputs and that's it, done.

To be honest Tut, that probably says more about the Sultan.

Yes, it says he's good at statistical analysis and risk reduction. it doesn't say he's a bleedin' racist and thinks, "they're all the bloomin' same, them lot!"

Well, no ethnicity conclusions to jump to.

It's incredibly sad for all concerned including the family of the co-pilot suspected of doing the unthinkable. My dad took his own life when I was 18 and I've volunteered as a Samaritan for the last couple of years so have spoken to people on the phone as they were taking their own life. Suicide is a really complex area to comprehend for most of us.

Dont blame him woody, we had cases out there especially with the Iranians who we were forced to take on as allies, in which when there was an emergency they would sit back and chant Insha'Allah, it is the will of Allah so there is nothing I can do about it.

Why even chance it?

You'd hope they wouldn't need special training to open the door and let the pilot / copilot back in though.

They would need mad skills if the pilot had them pinned to the top corner of the cockpit though, not to mention the other pilot now being nowhere near the cockpit door, or at least in a position to walk through it!
