I wonder why first practice is on now on Thursday instead of Friday?

Monaco never has any F1 on a Friday, think they run the other series then. Maybe gives the people that live there a break for a day too?

Yup, Monaco practice is always on a Thursday.

I think it's so they can split the programme, and open the roads on both days to let people get about.

Friday is no race day, it's the opportunity to walk the track and have a few drinks at one of the pop up bars that appear on the circuit. Me and the Mrs went two years ago, would highly recommend it! Sitting on the track swigging a beer while
Red Bull practice pit stops behind you outside their garage is quite surreal.

Loved the way the 3rd place guy parks up and Seb also had me laughing with his comment at the end.

Brave move by one driver to the other. It made one driver not too pleased

3rd place parking said it all. Priceless.

Some roasted bottoms at Merc tonight methinks.

up until the crash it was a boring procession. Merc really dropped the ball but Lewis should have told them to get lost and stayed out. That said they only called him 50m from the pit entry so not much time to think about it I guess.

On a separate note, as much as I enjoy the spectical of Monaco I honestly think it has run it's course as an F1 circuit. I know they will likely never drop it from the calendar but the cars really have outgrown the place. It's too tight, nor smooth enough. There are no straights where an F1 car of the top teams can pass. It's hard enough to get post back markers never mind when racing. I know Riccardo passed Kimi but not without banging wheels, the stewards judgement on that pass was questionable to say the least after having given Alonso a 5sec penalty for exactly the same thing earlier in the race. Only the outcome was different.

Time for F1 to move on I think because with all the best will in the world they will never be able to produce regs that will stop the cars being effected by the disturbed air when up close to the car in front. Which is exactly where you need to be at Monaco.

Yup, last week I was bemoaning the Beeb for providing only highlights but on reflection that's perfect for Monaco now :-/

As for DRS there. What's the point?!

Oh and I expected Hammie's toys out the pram. But a mark of his progress is him keeping his cool. Bet there was some screaming in his helmet before he crawled back to Parc Ferme.
