Looking forward to the hols this year as haven't done a driving hol for a couple of years.Ferry booked for 1st week in Sept from Plymouth to Santander and 2 weeks later coming back into Newcastle from Holland.Whilst we've done this before it's always been on the bikes and usually Pico's and then down thru' Pyrennes to Andorra and France, etc, etc.
This time we're heading along the top coast of Spain and round to Porto(home of my fav tipple

)then meandering over to Andorra and France. Not planning on booking accomodation as it spoils the care-free nature of the holiday and we've never been caught out in the past.We do have a list of places/things we'd like to see however so hopefully it all goes to "plan"
here's hoping we get a good summer here and our late hols extend that season.

Sometimes good not to have too much planned in advance for a great adventure - have fun

Cool, I've always fancied doing the south west of Europe - should be a blast!
Currently planning a Nurburgring / Alps / Italian Lakes tour too, but hoping to do this on the bike and meet up with Lady Weegie and Son of Weegie around Como

Meanwhile, at Alpinestars R&D Department.......
I'm looking at it this way... Now I simply require to get to as many track days as possible on the bike, to prepare myself

We're you planning on taking the Elise before you sold it?
Looking forward to a write up and pictures upon return and I like the idea of the ferry to Santander.
Have you been to MMC lately?
What about this for your September Euro trip?

Had decided to offer the elise for sale and then find something with luggage space for the hols but worst case scenario then we were taking it and jamming everything in....front passenger footwell, behind seats and in corners behind intercooler & battery. We've already done Europe for a couple of weeks on 2 bikes so wouldn't have been a huge problem.....just not ideal.
Seriously looking for a replacement now but not going above £20K......got a lot of landscaping to do at house and really could do with a new kitchen
Something will turn up.....I'm confident & optimistic

Better buy quickly the prices do seem to be creeping up over the past year, the longer you wait the more chance the Elise fund becomes a kitchen.
Enjoy the summer trip whatever you do it in.

Ain't no way I'd be spending £20K on a kitchen for a 2 bedroom end terrace house

Ditto, except the kitchen turned into a full 7 bedroom house renovation....and my wife isn't an ex-wife (yet)

If you are around Angouleme during the 3rd weekend of September, we will have LF1, Exige V6, Evora and Evora GTE F1 for the Circuit de Remparts weekend.
