RS14s issues causes found!
I know a lot of guys have had issues with the RS14s with excess pad transfer leading to damaged discs. Well I was the latest victim but I have found the cause. There are two types of RS14 pads those with a curved edge to match the bells and those with a straight edge. The straight edge are the issues they make contact with the rotors too close to the bell and on mine even made contact! The rotor is not designed for this and is thinner in this area. The issue is particularly bad on the larger 295mm Aps. I have had to bin my front rotors after changing the front pads and doing one trackday!

The part number you need is E158714010

Going to be ordering some Pagids this week after my brake woes at KH on Sat, so thanks for the info.

Is this the same for fronts and rears??

Not sure i believe the reasons though TBH, as if the disc is thinner in that area, then the heat transfer would be better surely?? Where did you get the info from??

It may or may not be the full reason for the 14s. I am sticking some 42s on to be safe

But Jamie, if the shape is to blame, you could ask the person who sold them to you for the Lotus.

I mean, pass on the responsibility to them, they sold you the wrong one!

Or, did you buy them direct by part number without mentioning it was for a Lotus Exige/Elise?
