Impressive driving, he could not pass most cars on the straight but got them on braking/cornering and moving them off line.

Not sure that you can be sympathetic with the car if you want to win, you have to rev it and snatch gear change especially in an S1.

He took the tight inside line nearly every time, if the car in front left a gap he went for it and forced the other car out. Never any contact but it looks as if they were just not defending against the overtake.

He did not have the power or speed differential so he could not go for the outside line.

Bang on Tut. This is not a Sunday drive. Very harsh to say it let to the failure. These engines are pushed to the limits if you want to be competitive as you can't run forged pistons so failures will happen.
