Licence and Lidl.

Received the form for my licence renewal today, so went for a look around the local roads, lord knows how many miles, but some great Elise roads, no traffic, narrowish, but good surfaces and bends galore.

Called in at Buckie to have a look at Lidle's and am a convertee. Cherries are my favourite fruit, £2.90kg instead of £11 at Tesco, peaches 90p for eight, flowers £1.50 instead of £5 so filled the basket for Verian, and best of all this 7kg matured Serrano ham reduced from £49 to £29. Would not shop there on price alone but quality looks to be good.

Pièce de résistance was a small fish shop on the harbour front which is now my second home. Large fresh lobsters at £8, large fresh crab claws at £8kg, and sea trout fresh from the sea this morning at £5kg, half the price of Supermarket haddock.

I will always shop from local businesses if I can, there is also a fresh bread bakery next door, so this was a great find.

Lobster sounds like a bargain and the others. :)

And the selection of random goods is entertaining. From fishing to scuba diving along with your weekly shop.

Walking the dogs in the top field and found a section of buried barbed wire fencing. Top of the feet not as tough as the bottom so took a lump out.

Yes in the Audi TT roof down, trying to get her confident enough to stop using the brakes on most bends, and also the difference in rev range between a T/C petrol and the T/C diesel which she normally drives.

Did a wee coastal tour the other night with Ro and Banksy, saw that wee fish shop in Buckie, looks great. Was closed though so had to make do with ice-cream in Portsoy.

That'll have been 'Eat Mair Fish' tut? That's been the local fish shop for generations. I really should shop there more often!

Passed that one Richard but went to Cluny's as it is the one that Verian's cousin uses.

Our local Lidl has a great bakery where you can buy everything individually.

Their stuff is generally good quality and as long as you don't mind buying things that aren't from the brands you recognise then you can save a lot of money. Don't always have everything mind you.
