Hardtop softy!

When do you normally put the hard top on for winter?
If I kept my car garaged overnight and only ran it on dry days, I wouldn't bother putting it on but I use mine almost daily and it sleeps on the street.
With it getting chilly now, I'm thinking mine will be on by the end of the month.
It's a bit like asking when you put the tree up at Christmas

Traditionally I wait until the annual Sweeping Up the Leaves event has occurred, then start thinking about it...and the swap to the winter rims/tyres too.
However, since I get/need to use the car so much less nowadays, and trips out in it are a rare treat, I am thinking of leaving soft top and summer rims/tyres on all winter just to be really controversial. And because Lisa suggested it
There is nothing like a cold blast past the snowfields or on a frosty day, with 3 fleeces and 2 hats on

OK so those that are giving it 'what's a hardtop', is it because you keep the car in a garage or is it because you (and the car) are HARD?
PS I went a few years without a Christmas tree when I was a singleton. Can't say I missed it. But now it's up sooner than Debenhams.

Nope, car stays on the street. (I must be HARD)n Scooping the snow out of the radiator grills is the worst bit.
When I lived by myself, I didn't bother with a tree either. Still wouldn't if I could get away with it. Ho Ho Ho
