I'm quite a fan of the speyside brewery at Forres. They do a very nice IPA (Moray IPA).

If anyone's interested I know the chap who started Scotland's first run distillery, it's in Banchory and their spiced rum is magnificent. He's offered a tour round the place, they're keen to get a word-of-mouth reputation. Dark Matter Distillers.

I had a good few evenings not long ago with a chap called David MacDonald and he has started his own brewery whilst I believe still working at Cardhu Distillery.

He new range is called http://www.speyvalleybrewery.co.uk/welcome.html

Very nice indeed.

Islay Ales do a range of 10 beers and are a nice tipple.

If you are doing the Dukes pass pop in to the real ale shop http://www.scottishrealales.com/
