Yep, great move, two geriatrics buy a house on a 900ft hill, two miles down a goat track, but it does have a great view, and it is bloody warm for peanuts pennies.

Tut, I assume at least one of your cars will drive up/down your drive even in a few feet of snow? Or have you bought Verian a snow shovel for her birthday?

I bought her one of those at Old Deer Robin, so she has it for clearing the steps with.

The Honda is a partial 4x4 in as much as the rear drive kicks in when it senses slippish, and our local farmer has a contract to clear the road down to the burn, and will carry on and do our drive as well. We also have the postie virtually every day as an indication of drivability.

it was snowing coming up over the Scottish borders last night but not lying really.

Incidentally there was snow on the top of the devils Beeftub about a month ago that seemed to go unmissed by the media!
