Obviously they don't have the same rules regarding overtaking as us if they were 3 abrest.

These things could happen on any track day no matter who organised it. I suppose the big question is "how did Kh deal with it?" I've always felt quite secure in the knowledge that there's a paramedic response in the pitlane.

The golf aint an R32, but last I read it was supercharged so someones def spent some cash on it. Ah well, risk you take and all that.

Anyone taking a car worth more than a few hundred quid out on a hot hatch day needs the head read!

Having said that, it sounds like it was the golf driver who lost it.

You pays your money, you take your chances.

S'pose this is the last thing KH needs with the current situation. Lets see how KH re-brand their 'Hot Hatch' days, and if they improve standards in any way.

Fcuking magic.

There is actually a lot of crap talked about the Hot Hatch days.

They are there because they want to be, and they know the routine. They are on the track as opposed to the road, so no danger to any one else apart from themselves. They accept this, as does KH, so what is the harm? We are not on with them, so if they wipe themselves out, so be it.

I actually know quite a few of them, and if they get their kicks on the track, then the road is safer for the rest of us.

Suppose they have to weigh up lost revenue from cancelling hh days against a hike insurance. What annoys me is the cost of our track days will inevatibly rise to cover the cost of knockhills insurance.

Would be good if you could sign up for 10 track days and x hours instruction at a fixed price from KH ...

perhaps not at the moment but KH do appear to becoming less and less strict re entrance criteria for HM events, i can see this continuing should they ditch HH days.........

here's hoping the HH days stay, and keep the madness there.

As Tut said though, you know what you are getting in to on HH days as opposed to other sessions, hence the fact the oly 2 i did were in the £400 BM 320i bought specifically for that purpose. :D

Nearly got hit twice by daft manouvres, but some of these guys really think it is a race.

Always amusing to watch though

Dont forget that officially a HM car has to be valued at over £10K, so we could insist that this is adhered to.

Unfortunately this could bar some of us, as an early S1 is worth more like £8K.

Mine would be even less if it was not for the Honda conversion.

HH days are staying - probably with a image spin.

I had a chat with some of the folk from Kh whilst Dominic was out hooning in my car and they were talking about introducing a "MOT" style inspection on trailered vehicles or on any car that could not produce a vaild MOT.

As for HM - the lines have been getting more and more blurrier by the year - but then if they were to stick to the > £10k then a lot of S1's wouldn't get on track.

Personally I'll be picking my track time carefully next year with most of the days being either Brunty or SIDC run.
