is the lead time for a new clam really a year? would this see my car classed as a total loss?

A guy on the lone forum (lotus north east) had the same happen to him this week. He was told end of Feb for a rear clam from Lotus.

Fingers crossed you aren't waiting too long.

Aw mate that sucks, hopefully you get it sorted ASAP (at least it isn't the middle of summer). How did it happen? Other driver taking full responsibility?

Gaffa tape will sort it Campbell

I was sitting at a set of traffic lights, about 6 cars back in the queue and the guy pulled out of a side street into my car  the car behind me was indicating into the side street he was blocking at the time and flashed him out so he just went even though my car was where he wanted to be lol :blackeye

Bugger!

Some gaffer tape from santa then!

Actually, to my untrained eye, that looks to be repairable to me. I know body shops / insurers like to just throw away parts and replace them, but I don't see why that could not be repaired.
