I have always bought my climbing shoes directly from the climbing centre. Wherever you get them from, you really need to be trying them on, as they should be a very tight fit, but not painfully so.
Never had you cut out as a climbing type Ross.

Just purely for the porpoise of clarification...they ain't for me

but Calum, my 14yr old son
The shoes I mention is what he rents, so wants to stay with what he knows - I'll find out how much they are to purchase from the centre

If that's what he knows he likes and he's used to them then it doesn't really matter where you get them. Go Outdoors do reasonable deals occasionally and if he needs a chalk bag too (and harness) it may bw worth looking at deals - tell specifically which shoes you want - Tiso or Ellis Brigham at TCA or the Glasgow Climbing Centre.

Cheers
He got his own chalk bag ages ago, from his club...which is here btw

His upper body strength is amazing for his age - can do pull-ups with ease!

Yeah, I would be very careful about buying shoes online, as size varies wildly and might not quite be what's expected. If the returns policy is ok, by all means go for it though.
I got my Boreal shoes from the Tiso shop at Ratho - would be nice to actually use them more!
Arriving broadside, in a cloud of smoke......
