Top Gear Filming

I passed the Top Gear crew filming a couple of new Ford Mustangs yesterday. I spent the weekend up at Oldshoremore near Durness and was on my way back when I came across a temporary helicopter sign at the side of the road just before Kylesku Bridge. The viewpoint at the bridge was packed and there was pick-up with a camera on a boom and a yellow Mustang was just turning in front of me. I presumed it was filming of some sort but there were no indications of what for. A little further on there were a load of tyre marks where they'd been warming up the tyres. As I climbed the pass a helicopter popped over the brow of the hill flying really low filming a blue Mustang coming down.
I read on the Press & Journal today it was Top Gear. Their piece was on one of the cars breaking down and a mechanic from Inverness helping them out.

Sounds like the Amazon show. Hammond was seen filming in a mustang a couple of days ago.

The P&J said it was BBC Top Gear but I don't suppose it's the first time they would've made a wrong spy.

Heard it was the BBC top gear. The new guy Rory Reid was pictured next to a 67 white mustang. I think they were comparing 3 different ages of mustangs.

There was a bit of snow around yesterday which would have made driving those interesting.

Nice pic G, pity someone left their family saloon in the shot. Will give you some pointers with photo composition if you want

I guess it's the 60s car vs. the v8 and 4 cylinder from the UK range (modern cars both look to be RHD)
Odd that there were only 3 cars, for the new Top Gear line up, you'd think they'd need about 15
I suspect we'll be seeing more and shots being released as to build some hype as we get closer to that and Amazon Gear being released. I don't know when they are both scheduled for, but I do hope they don't try to clash with them. There is plenty of room for 2 decent car shows to co-exist, I don't see them as competing at all.

fantastic show, a bit short and the plot was hard to follow but I liked it.

Never been to that area of Scotland (probably should do) but looking at google street map took all of 2 mins to find that exact spot in the photo (just thought it was interesting ..... will get my coat).
